My silver leaf pendants have been proving very popular and there has been a lot of interest.  So to avoid any "mass production" of the items I make, I have designed a new silver leaf pendant.  This one has a green glass leaf set into the silver.  If they continue to be in demand I shall be creating lots of new designs, so watch this space ... !!!



Recent projects have included a range of personalised items for friends and family - and I have also been developing some crafting ideas for children and young people.  One such idea is customised bookmarks. They can be made to include the person's name, interests, and even photographs.  They are a really nice way of commemorating events or celebrating a special occasion.  If they encourage reading too, that can't be a bad thing!

for my lovely Dad - who is 79 years young!!!

Unique Me, Unique You!

 

My passion for customising really started when I bought a great dress but didn't have any jewellery that would possibly go with it.  This led to my first major project, which took me four hours to make! 

The necklace has about
120 beads in total!

It's constructed from individual glass beads, each one threaded and twisted onto wire to form flower shapes, with leaves entwined and tiny beads in between.  I'm pleased to say that the average piece of jewellery no longer takes me four hours to make, but I'll always love this necklace because it's creation led to so much more!!

Of course, then I'd really started something!

This necklace was inspired by a pair of sandals I just had to have but, again, had nothing to match!!

One of my favourite projects was to take my bead box into work, where my colleagues chose their own beads and I made up jewellery for them. Each piece was very different and quite personal to the wearer.  So if you fancy a unique creation to compliment that special outfit, just let me know.

My original leaf

As one of my best customers, Amanda inspired the silver leaf pendant after seeing a similar design I made for myself.  She has also been a real source of encouragement in this venture and, since she  has set off to travel half-way around the world, I am missing her enormously!

However, I will be following her progress with help from my 'round-the-world' tracking system.  (Yes, it really does tell me where people are when they're using the blog)!!
